Almost fast isn’t fast enough.

When a patient is in shock, the question is not whether a device can infuse. It is whether it can restore meaningful circulating volume fast enough through the access that is actually available.

Flow rates

Not every “rapid” method is truly rapid.

IV pumps, pressure bags and powered rapid infusers all have a place. The clinical decision depends on access, availability, setup time, staff familiarity and how quickly volume must be delivered.

01
IV pumps

Designed for controlled infusion, not emergent high-volume resuscitation.

02
Pressure bags

Require active pressure maintenance and lose efficiency through high-resistance access.

03
Powered rapid infusers

Highly capable, but setup and proximity can be limiting outside high-acuity treatment areas.

04
LifeFlow

Portable, hand-operated and intended to bring rapid volume delivery directly to the patient.
